Review Summary

Although not designed with the professional in mind, the Grizzly G1023RL is an excellent addition to the shop of any home woodworker. It will handle the toughest wood you put through it without hesitation and deliver precise, square cuts from the day you unbox it. Grizzly provides sturdy, quality-built machines backed up with excellent customer service.

Is it perfect? No, no tool is. You might find dust to be an annoyance, and you might wind up switching out the included fence. But presumably you’re expecting a little sawdust generation from your table saw, and you can easily switch out the fence with your favorite brand.

Overall, this is a great choice for the dedicated wood hobbyist.

Power and precision

Grizzly G1023RL buyers are happy with the marriage of power and precision in this cabinet table saw. The 3HP motor provides more than enough oomph to cut through the hardest of woods and most saws arrive so well-calibrated that users find little room for improvement.

Customer service

Grizzly stands behind its products. The vast majority of complaints stem from mishaps with delivery, but users are quick to point out that these are seldom Grizzly’s fault directly and they go out of their way to make things right. Whether your issues are major or minor, technical or delivery-related, Grizzly has techs manning the phones to walk you through solutions.

Cabinet table saws aren’t cheap, at least not the ones worth owning. But this saw delivers great bang for the buck. A 3HP engine is plenty for most hobby projects but moving up from that comes with a big jump in price. Given how universally happy G1023RL users are with their saws, the cost is worth every penny.

But if we could change one thing . . .

Users are split roughly 50-50 between being satisfied with the included fence and replacing it with a better one. Perhaps Grizzly will take note and make some improvements to this feature in the future.

Does it come with leveling feet?

No, you’ll have to handle that yourself or purchase a rolling base.
